The Lord our God, Jehovah Elohim, is watching.

“For forty years you sustained them in the wilderness; they lacked nothing, their clothes did not wear out nor did their feet become swollen. You gave your good Spirit to instruct them. You did not withhold your manna from their mouths, and you gave them water for their thirst. ‘Because of your great compassion you did not abandon them in the wilderness. By day the pillar of cloud did not fail to guide them on their path, nor the pillar of fire by night to shine on the way they were to take. even when they cast for themselves an image of a calf and said, “This is your god, who brought you up out of Egypt,” or when they committed awful blasphemies. They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them, ‘But they, our ancestors, became arrogant and stiff-necked, and they did not obey your commands. ‘” — Nehemiah 9:16-21 from: https://my.bible.com/bible/113/NEH.9.16-21

Even when we forget what Father has done for us in past days and we refuse in our rebellion to respond to the Holy Spirit’s instruction and guidance in our lives, He does not leave us in the wilderness of our lives to fend for ourselves but provides for our basic needs as He waits for us to turn our faces towards Him and see He is still right there with us, watching.

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord , the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip – he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you – the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm – he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and for evermore.” — Psalms 121:1-8 from: https://my.bible.com/bible/113/PSA.121.1-8

“But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. We wait in hope for the Lord ; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord , even as we put our hope in you.” — Psalms 33:18-22 from: https://my.bible.com/bible/113/PSA.33.18-22

12 So let him who seems to himself to be safe go in fear of a fall.13 You have been put to no test but such as is common to man: and God is true, who will not let any test come on you which you are not able to undergo; but he will make with the test a way out of it, so that you may be able to go through it. — 1 Corinthians 10:12-13 from: The Bible in Basic English by Professor S.
